STUDYING AT A UNIVERSITY IN NEW ZEALAND
New Zealand universities are ranked among the world's best by QS World University Rankings. The qualifications you’ll gain there are widely recognized and sought-after by employers and other educational institutions around the world. Employers particularly value New Zealand graduates’ ability to think independently, find solutions and solve problems. This means that you'll be ready to work anywhere when you graduate. You can also go on to further studies or research in New Zealand.
Our partner universities in New Zealand offer a wide range of study programmes in all areas at bachelor or master's level. Most universities also offer foundation programmes developed specially for international students as a preparation for bachelor degree study.
After discussing your study abroad plan with you and carefully assessing your academic background and interests, your Koru advisor will be able to recommend the university and course of studies that best suits your personal or career goals. You can be confident that the advice we will give you will be absolutely independent and will only take your own interest into consideration.

UNIVERSITY PATHWAY PROGRAMMES
These programmes offer a strong academic foundation to prepare international students for entry into New Zealand universities' undergraduate degree programmes. The curriculum also includes core training in English and tertiary study skills. The duration of the programme may vary between 6 to 15 months depending on the student's academic background and level of English. Successful completion guarantees access to the university offering the programme. Three pathway programmes are currently offered:
- The University of Auckland Certificate in Foundation Studies
- AUT University Certificate in Foundation Studies
- Victoria University of Wellington Foundation Studies Programme
Each of these programmes is recognized by all New Zealand universities as well as by a number of Australian universities.
